Problem

Indian K12 learners face huge variance in baseline mastery, and most adaptive systems assume always-on connectivity. We needed an engine that works offline-first across low-bandwidth schools, while still learning from every interaction.

Approach

Worked on the product side end to end — from discovery through launch. Built SwiftSync, an offline-first app for low-connectivity regions like Ladakh, and owned the full product development cycle: user research, PRDs, adaptive logic, and go-to-market with field teams.

Outcome

• Measurable increase in student learning outcomes
• 5 lakh+ students on the system
• Content pipeline cycle time reduced through AI assistance

Problem

State education departments were drowning in disconnected dashboards. Decisions were slow because the data lived in silos — and no single view told the truth.

Approach

Worked backwards from the decisions that 10+ state departments actually make weekly. Wrote PRDs around those decisions, not around screens. Drove schema standardization, role-based views, and a clear data contract with engineering.

Outcome

• 10+ state education departments onboarded
• Decision latency dropped — one source of truth replaced N spreadsheets
• Foundation for downstream AI features (anomaly flags, recommendations)

Context

Prof. Michael Kremer, Nobel Prize-winning economist and Director of the Development Innovation Lab at the University of Chicago, met HRD and IT Minister Nara Lokesh to discuss the findings of a landmark evaluation study on the State's Personalised Adaptive Learning (PAL) programme.

Findings

The University of Chicago study presents some of the strongest global evidence to date on the potential of EdTech in government schools. Students using PAL achieved learning gains equivalent to 1.9 additional years in just 17 months compared to peers in non-PAL schools — across all grades and student groups, with particularly strong results among younger students.
